Hi guys and gals,
Amar here.
I wanted to share this very important post with all of you especially if you are preparing content for your blogs or websites.
A few days ago, I was fortunate to have stumbled upon Matt Cutts (Google employee) sharing a couple of things about what Google likes and doesn’t like.
And in that video, Matt accidentally DISCLOSED some hidden pointers which up to today no one, and I mean NO ONE, knew it for sure. Most of us, out of years experience and seeing some common trends with our own sites and blogs summed it up but Matt CONFIRMED it…
This is hot guys! So, I suggest you keep everything aside for the next 3-5mins and try to understand what I’ve shared in here…
I suggest you read this post once quickly and one more time with a notepad in had. Or you could copy and paste it into your word doc and print it and paste it in front of you so that whenever you’re preparing content for your blog projects, you’ll keep these pointers at the top of your mind.
This is important and yet I see many bloggers and marketers miss this out. Let me give you an example:-
Say, you want to rank high for a keyword “solving tinnitus problem”.
Make sure you put the exact keyword above in the Title Tag and instead of just placing the keyword as is, make it more readable and descriptive, like, “Quick ways of solving tinnitus problem from home”.
It is more readable and natural, isn’t it?
On the other hand, instead of getting ranked for the main keyword only, you will also gain rankings for the other words…
Ok! Believe it or not…even I didn’t know this! I’ve always had a hunch that Google doesn’t like underscores but there was nothing out there to back my hunch.
Let me give you an example:-
Say you’re planning to write a post around a keyword, “health management tips.
According to Matt, do not place underscores within the keywords like this, http://www.health.com/health_management_tips.html
This is because Google sees URL’s with underscores as ONE word! “healthmanagementtips” insteas of 3-words, “health management tips”
You will NOT gain rankings for the 3-word keyword, eventhough you and me know healthmanagementtips is 3 words and not one.
According to Matt, they’re NOT! They used to be, but no longer.
Yup! Even I was shocked with this fact. All along, every TOP seo expert in the world has been saying, grab the exact keyword as a domain but according to Matt, this will not guarantee top placement or rankings in its SERP. Well, not anymore…
Let me give you an example:-
Say, you want to get rankings for the keyword “home made diet plans”…
You don’t need to purchase www.homemadedietplans.com.
Instead, if you had a large site on health and diet eg. www.health.com, you can create a post within that site and still gain high rankings for that keyword you’re targetting. Just make sure you’re configuring the AIOSEO plugin for the post correctly and placing the title of the post right.
Eg. www.health.com/home-made-diet-plans.html (this is pefectly fine)
And yes, you can place dashes in between those keywords. It’s perfectly acceptable!
I know, I know! It’s getting tougher to please the engines these days but you’ve got to do it if you want to stay in the game. Google will love you for it, trust me!
And anyway, I think its for the better. Lesser unscrupulous players will eventually leave the market because they will not be able to understand why their sites are not getting ranked and leave. This will create a much lesser competitive platform. I like it!
Anyway, I’ve always professed on keeping blogs and websites simple and uncluttered.
User experience is what Google is aiming for and according to Matt, Google DOES check every single website and blog out there.
They have state of the art softwares which can even tell, how long a visitor stayed on your webpage and why they left hurrily.
The longer the visitors stay on your sites, the better for you and your sites rankings.
This is probably one of the major issues right now which is being tackled by Google. There is just too much of crap DUPLICATE CONTENT out there.
Here are some quick pointers:-
One tactic which I must disclose to you which was talked about by Matt is most of us tend to syndicate content throughout the Internet. Usually, we get a 500 word article written, then we just syndicate it to various article directories on the Net.
DON’T do this! Your rankings will suffer!
Instead, use a good article spinner, like JetSpinner or The Best Spinner.
I wrote an entire article about spinning tools and whether if you should use them or stay away from them as well as some tips incase you do decide to use a pinner.
If you’re not good at writing, outsource it. There are various places you can outsource. In one of my articles Write the original article yourself and then get someone from Fiverr or Odesk to spin the articles for you. They have various packages starting from a low $5.
Well, these are some of the main pointers Matt disclosed which I felt important and I’ve shared them with you. There are practically hundreds of other SEO factors Google sees, such as on-page and off-page optimization but I feel you sould tackle the basics first, them the rest will just fall in place.
Hope you like what I’ve shared and if yes, may i ask you to share this post with your friends. Thanks!
Talk soon!

Blogging 10 years ago and now (2011) has changed dramatically. The power of building relationships with blog visitors or more commonly called Customer Relationship Management (CRM) has only recently begun to take shape and form.
Medium and large corporations ie. Apple and Samsung have fully staffed departments just handing customer relationships and why is that so? Making long term profits out of relationships work! However, relationship levels have changed in the last 10-years and it is not the same as it used to be.
Let me share with you on why I feel building relationships with your blog visitors matter as far as profiting from your blogs is concerned and what are the 3-simple methods I use to build these awesome relationships.
Another plus point I’ve noticed when I started implementing some of the relationship building tactics you’re about to read is, my blogs began climbing up the ranks in the SERP’s.
This has not happened randomly but for 9 out of 10 of my blogs! Perhaps, even Google and other search engines like it when you put some focus on user experience. From what I came to know, and also according to Rand Fishkin, CEO of SEOMoz.org if visitors spends more time on your blogs, and enjoy your content, Google is alerted about it and they tend to rank such sites higher up the SERP’s.
So, basically on step ahead of interacting with your blog visitors is to build long lasting relationships with them. Because of this heighthened visitor experience on most of my blogs, I have seen an increase in income levels too. My blog visitors tend to leave more comments, click on my links, buy in to my offers etc. Many immediately bookmark the blog and revisit 2-3 times a day to further explore more content and articles. How do I know all this? Try using Google Analytics. You’ll be amazed on what you can discover.
I remember, when I newly started blogging back in 2003, there used to be a time when I could just slap a simple (text only) 300-400 word article, place a few affiliate links here and there and wallah…I’d make some sales. It’s no longer the same these days. Times have changed and the online community in general has become more educated, savvy and demanding. Not only that, competition has also become more fierce too.
So for this reason, if you want to increase the liking of your blogs and start monetizing from your blogs effectively, you MUST start building relationships with your blog visitors.
This is important. I think if you’re writing an article, you should make the article sound interesting by engaging the visitor… as if you were talking
to them face to face. Ask questions! Probe, but be polite. This style of writing can only come with lots of practice and experience but if you’re not engaging your visitors from the start, then you’re leaving lots of potential income on the table.
Forget about just delivering the facts. Everyone does that, don’t they? Do a search on any topic and you’ll know what I mean. Boring facts laid out in text format with little or no images. No proper references. You need to stand out and make your content more compelling and interesting. If you don’t have the skills to write, outsource it.
One good place I highly use and recommend is Green Light Articles. (Their rates are perhaps the lowest in the industry but their quality surpasses many overly priced content writing services in the market.)
I know, I know! You’re already socializing with lots of friends and sometimes keeping up with the load can be daunting as it can take up
considerable time to be on the Social networks but the point is IF almost everyone out there is on Facebook why isn’t your blog/website? Just think about it. I used to think that why the hell should large successful corporate giants like BMW and Coca-Cola need a Facebook account but when I observed closely, I realized their increased following on the social networks meant more leads which eventually translated to more sales.
Grab a copy of the famous Facebook Fanpage WordPress plugin here and install FB fanpages from within your WordPress blogs in minutes!
You may have heard about this that if you want to win a girl’s heart, give her a gift! It’s no different when it comes to your blog visitors. 2-things happen when you offer a free gift to your visitors.

A good example is what I have done on this blog which you’re on right now. Noticed the pop-up light box appearing for the first time asking you to download my latest book? I’m using one of the best in the industry, called PopUp Domination. This is just one of the ways. You can even place a fixed box on the left or right pane using Widget on your WordPress blog together with the code given by your autoresponder service (i.e Aweber/ Getresponse).
Interested to get PopUp Domination for your blog? Buy from my link here and I’ll help you install PopUp Domination at no extra cost. Don’t forget to email me the receipt no. (Just my way of saying thank you!)
Build relationships and you’ll never go wrong. Beat the clutter out there and stand out as an authority in your niche by engaging with your blog visitors from the start. They’ll love you for it and will buy whatever you’ll have to offer…. eventually.
Speak to you soon.

Hey there, Aaron here…
Are you searching for an article spinning tool to rewrite content for your website or blogs? Or perhaps you’re planning to syndicate hundreds of spun articles to article directories with the hopes of getting backlinks to push your rankings in the search engines? You’ve come to the right place!
In the last couple of days, I’ve been receiving a few e-mails from some of my friends and students asking me if article spinning still works and should they go ahead and use article spinning software or should they stay away from them.
To be honest, right now, there is a lot of confusion whether to use an article rewriting tool or not especially after Google downgraded countless high PR “content farm” websites or more commonly known as “article directories” since February 2011. Take a closer look at a complete list of websites that were affected by the latest BIG Panda update on 28 September 2011.
Never heard of the Panda Update? Which universe are you from?
You can see a video I’ve pasted below from Rand Fishin, one of the top SEO experts in the world.
But from what I’ve seen, Google has been punishing sites that simply copy/pasted content from the original source (eg. from EzineArticles.com) and pasted it as their own content without giving credit back to the original authors. Direct plageurism. You can take a quick read of what Google says about duplicate content in there official blog here and it seems there is NO such thing as “duplicate content penalty”.
Then, there is another category of websites and blogs which have suffered in rankings and will continue to suffer unless they immediately start doing something about it. What some of these website owners did was they copied a piece of content, say from a 500 word article from an article directory and used a spinning software to spin the original content. But what the major flaw with this is the content spun out is 98% non-human readable. And without any human intervention or maually changing the grammar or synonyms within the content, they paste it in their blogs.
They simply copy/pasted the UNREADABLE spun garbage and pasted it into their websites proudly claiming the content as their own. Yes! The content was unique to the search engines but not humanly readable.
Now, from my observation, the sites or blogs that DID NOT suffer or drop in rankings due to the Panda update adhered to these practices as far as creating unique content was concerned.
So basically, if you’re planning to use an article spinning tool for your website or blog’s content or you simply want to submit tons of spun articles to Article directories, try to insert your own words to really make it unique and different. And remember, things are only going to get harder and tougher in the months ahead especially for those who tend to ignore the search engine’s quest of delivering highly targeted, relevant, unique and likable content.
People are going to read your articles and content and if they don’t like em’ how are you going to convince Google to place it on page #1 of their Search Engine?

Cheers!

Hey there, Aaron here.
Just wanted to enlighten you with something unforeseen that happened to one of my ‘money-getting’ blogs last night.
I was trying to access the blog and I received an “Internal Server Error” which means my blog was inaccessible. That was ‘odd’…I’ve never experienced this before!
However, I checked out the WordPress forums and surprisingly I discovered many others using WordPress have been facing similar issues lately.
Hey! I thought WordPress is supposed to back up our blogs, right? Yea right…
You need to do it yourself, manually (the first time for each blog) then use automated backups to do it perhaps once a week automatically.
So, you see, even a so called expert blog marketer like myself made a silly avoidable mistake! Hahaha..
So when I knew this was the problem, I scrambled to look for a solution and I discovered several paid and FREE options. Wanna guess which one I chose?! Of course the free version. And this plugin was also very easy to install and configure.
The plugin you want to install is WP DB Backup
The installation is the same way as how you install a plugin (from within your wp-admin panel) but for your convenience, I found a video in YouTube which shows you how to install this plugin.
Can’t see the video above? Copy and paste this link in your browser’s address bar > http://youtu.be/8Oze2mgVRSo
This is important fellas! Backup your blogs or risk loosing everything! I’m you don’t want that to happen to you now, do ya?!

PLEASE KNOW: THIS IS NOT AN AFFILIATE OFFER I’M TRYING TO SUCKER YOU IN! I ONLY REVIEW CERTAIN IM PRODUCTS WHICH ARE GOOD AND WHICH I FIND USEFUL FOR MY OWN ONLINE BUSINESS AND THEN PASS ON THE GOOD WORD!
So,…the buzz is on and we’ve all been waiting for Matt’s long awaited Affiliate Camo.
So, after testing it for a while…this is what I personally think…
It’s probably one of the best link cloaking softwares I’ve used in a while and you know what’s even better? It’s designed specially for WordPress owners! Brilliant!
So, as soon as I got hold of the beta version, I tested it and I was simply AMAZED with it’s simplicity and ease of use. Not to mention the link stats it shows as to how many visitors clicked on my cloaked affiliate links an so on.
What I Like Yup! You didn’t think I would have just given you the pros without the cons, did ya?!
I disliked 2 things about the software though…
Go grab your copy of Affiliate Camo now and give it a try for yourself. It’s FREE so, don’t start judging before you’ve even got a chance to play with it.
For me, I’m abandoning all other url cloaking programs…for now….and will be giving Affiliate Camo a shot!
I also wanted to share with you a quick video on how Gary monetizes his websites using Affiliate Camo. Click play to see the video.
Happy link cloaking

The title itself sounds very catchy doesn’t it?
But from my blogging experience, to rank one’s blog or website is NOT rocket science!
As long as you follow some important SEO guidelines, you won’t go wrong and I can almost guarantee your blog or website WILL get 1st page rankings in the SE’s.
Here is what I do to make sure my blogs are up there:-
1) CONTENT IS KING! (This is in fact, the most important criteria!)
Your blog or website’s content MUST be good! It has to be authentic and not copied from some article directory and pasted there. The content must be DIRECTLY RELATED to a specific keyword phrase and has to add ‘real’ appeal, benefit and substance for the visitor. (HNM Blogs meet these criteria)
2) On Page Optimization –
This is the 2nd most important aspect the search engines look for. Exactly what is on-page optimization?
3) Backlinks
Basically, backlinks means links from appropriate and related websites or blogs pointing back to your blog. This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. If you don’t have enough backlinks, the search engines simply don’t see your blog as an authority blog and therefore won’t get it ranked high. (HNM students have learnt a few back linking methods (Module 7).
These are just some of the major and more obvious factors which search engines look for before deciding if your blog is worth listing and ranking it up in their engines.

Firstly, you may or may not have heard of Bing before.
That’s because, Bing’s former name was Live Search, Windows Live Search, or MSN Search which is powered by Microsoft.
Nah! But some say the search results displayed by Bing are more relevant and current than Google’s. And some say it’s search interface is much nicer and neater than Google’s.
Whatever, I don’t care!
Because I don’t use Bing to carry out any of my research work. I work closely with Google’s search engine and the reason is obvious, Google is the ‘Grand-Daddy’ of the searches carried out in the world with more than 70% market share.
Anyway, Bing is gaining some attention these days (thanks to Microsoft’s ruthless media advertising) but I won’t worry about it taking over or beating Google’s search engine any time soon. They have a long long long way yet to go!
Anyway, here is how I index my blogs with Bing:-
STEP 1: Visit http://www.bing.com/webmaster/SubmitSitePage.aspx

STEP2: Once on the page, insert the security captcha, type your blog URL in full (with http://www….) and then click the Submit URL button.
You’re done!

I’m assuming you’ve created your blog and now you’re in the “tell the whole world about my blog” mood. Great!
I’ve covered how you can submit your blog to Google in my earlier post. In this post, I’ll be discussing how I list my blogs with Yahoo.

Yahoo's HQ in Sunnyvale, USA
Firstly, there are 2 areas in Yahoo you can submit your blogs to.
For me, I only submit to Yahoo’s search engine d/base and NOT with Yahoo Directory. This is due to 2 reasons.
So, that’s why I prefer to list by blogs directly with Yahoo’s search engine.
Here are the exact steps:-
STEP 1: In your browser, type
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit

STEP 2: Click on the link which says Submit a Website or Webpage
STEP 3: You’ll see a drop down.Simply insert your blog url (with http://..) and click the Submit URL button

You’re done!
REMEMBER: Never submit the same URL twice to the same search engine. If you’re creating a new post on the same URL which you have submitted earlier, as long as Yahoo or the search engines have indexed your blog, they will automatically capture your new post and index it as well (m0re so IF you’ve optimized that post using the SEO techniques I’ve taught you.)

If you’re creating websites or blogs, it’s important for you to index your blog url’s.
What do i mean by indexing your URL? In simple layman terms, it means, “informing the search engines that you’ve created a blog/site and you want them to add it to their search databases.”
I’ve realized, many bloggers and website owners DO NOT index their sites OR perhaps they aren’t aware of it.
DID YOU KNOW? From an SEO perspective, URL indexing IF done right, can boost a blogs or website’s rankings and you can start getting lots of traffic to your blogs in no time?
As a blog marketer (yo, yo.. that’s me!), I take precise steps to index my blogs MANUALLY (without using any automated site submitting softwares)
So again, why do you need to index your blog’s URL?
Because…
Well…, I only index with the 3 Big Boys!
Some marketers and bloggers tend to take URL indexing rather too seriously and actually begin to index with hundreds of search engines, one by one. You DON’T need to do that, please!
Google is the ‘father’ of the SE’s and as long as Google or Yahoo indexes your url, other engines will follow suit and index your urls as well. I’ve tested it and I’m sharing out of experience.
Let me explain further by showing you a screenshot I snapped from an authority site which reveals the TOP search engines and their market share.

As you can see from the data above, its clear that Google is definitely the market leader where search engines are concern.
NOTICE: Recently, Google has been facing some problems with their standard url addition tool (http://www.google.com/addurl/). Some of you may have experienced this glitch. Whenever you try submiting your URL, you’ll get an error.

You will NOT be able to add your blog’s url with Google, because the site doesn’t show a CAPTCHA for you to insert.
Don’t worry, I’ve found another way on how you can add your blog’s URL with Google.
STEP 1: Visit Google’s Blog Search site . The url is http://blogsearch.Google.com
STEP 2: Scroll right to the bottom of the page and find the link which says, “Information for Blog Authors” Click oin it.

STEP 3: Once on the page, simply add your blog’s URL and hit the submit button.

You’re done! Simple right?
Questions? Comments? Use the comments section below. I’d love to hear your side of the story.
REMEMBER: Google doesn’t imply any guarantees that your blog will get indexed in their database. But there are certain practices you can follow to get a higher chance of your blog getting indexed.
